Do I need to book in advance?
With many of our recent concerts selling out, we strongly encourage guests to book online in advance.

Tickets are available online until 1.30pm on the day of the concert and any remaining tickets will be available from the box office in the Norwood Concert Hall foyer from 1.45pm, if not sold out prior.

What should I do if I cannot book online?
If you are unable to book online or run into any difficulties during the booking process, please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to discuss other options.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay, both online via our ticketing provider TryBooking and at the box office on concert day.
Cash sales are also welcome at the box office.

Are there any extra fees and charges?
All advertised prices are inclusive of a 50c per ticket booking fee, which will be added to your order during check-out. This fee is collected by TryBooking and is non-refundable.
There is no surcharge for direct credit/debit card payments, both online and at the door. However, TryBooking currently charges a 0.5% surcharge for payments by Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.

Do you offer reserved seating?
Generally, no. All seating is general admission, in one of two sections: stalls (main level) or dress circle (upstairs).
You will need to select a section when booking, but within this section you are free to sit wherever you wish.
If you or your guest has specific accessibility needs, then please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to assist.

Is it better to sit in the stalls or dress circle?
This is a matter of personal preference.
The stalls offers a more intimate concert experience, better visibility of the orchestra on the whole and is accessible by lift.
The dress circle offers more comfortable, tiered seating and a more balanced sound, but is only accessible by stairs and many seats have limited visibility to the front of the orchestra.

What should I do if I have not received my ticket(s)?
If you cannot locate your booking confirmation email from TryBooking, please first check your junk/spam folder, then contact us at [email protected].

Do I need to print my ticket(s)?
Tickets may be either printed or displayed on your phone/tablet. If you have any difficulties accessing your tickets on the day, our front-of-house volunteers can also check your name off the door list.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Refunds (excluding the 50c TryBooking fee) are available for change-of-mind up until 48 hours before the event or if you are unable to attend due to illness or extenuating circumstances on the day.
All refund requests for online sales must be submitted by email ([email protected]) and will not be processed at the venue box office.

How do I get to the Norwood Concert Hall?
The Norwood Concert Hall is part of the Norwood Town Hall complex, conveniently located on the corner of The Parade and George Street, in the heart of Norwood.
The address is 175 The Parade, Norwood, but access is from the George Street entrance.
There is ample parking nearby or buses (H20/H22) run approximately every 30 minutes between the city and Stop 9 The Parade.

What parking options are available?
On Sundays, there are a range of free parking options within walking distance of the Norwood Concert Hall, including on-street parking and at the council's Webbe Street Car Park (enter via Edward Street).
The Webbe Street Car Park also offers accessible parking spaces for those with a valid disability parking permit, and there are designated drop-off spaces directly outside the George Street entrance.
Other parking options are provided by some of the local shopping complexes, but these may be for customer use only and fees or time limits may apply.
Further details can be found on The Parade's Interactive Parking Map.

When does the concert hall open?
On the day of the concert, the foyer and box office will be open from 1.45pm and doors to the concert hall will be open from 2pm.
As there is limited space and seating in the foyer, we advise guests not to arrive earlier than 1.45pm.

Is there a lock-out period?
If you arrive late, our front-of-house volunteers will endeavour to admit you at the earliest opportunity, while minimising the disturbance to other guests. You may have to wait until a suitable break in the program.

Is the venue accessible?
Yes, with the exception of the dress circle, the Norwood Concert Hall is fully accessible to those in a wheelchair or with mobility restrictions.
The stalls can be accessed via ramp and lift from the George Street footpath to the auditorium.
Accessible toilets and a children’s changing table are located on level one.
Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any specific seating requirements and we would be happy to assist.

Do you accept the Companion Card?
Yes, we proudly accept the Companion Card for all NSO concerts. Please select this option when booking online for a complimentary companion ticket.

Do children need to book a ticket?
Child tickets are free, but all children who will be occupying a seat are required to book a ticket.
As capacity limits are strict and our shows often do sell out, please contact us at [email protected] if you have booked a child ticket that you no longer need, so that the seat may be offered to someone else.

Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?
For the comfort of others, we kindly ask that children 12 and under are supervised by an adult at all times and remain quiet while the orchestra is performing.
We generally do not recommend bringing infants to our performances.

Can I bring outside food and drinks to the concert?
Yes, you can bring your own drinks and snacks, with the exception of alcohol due to liquor licensing laws.
Please be considerate of others when consuming drinks or snacks, as noisy packaging can be distracting for other guests.

What food and drinks are available at the venue?
Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits are served from the bars during interval.
Other drinks and snacks are also available for purchase before the concert and during interval.

Am I allowed to record the concert?
Unless advised otherwise (e.g. due to copyright), private audio and video recordings using handheld devices are permitted. However, we kindly ask that guests be considerate of others around them and enjoy the concert in the spirit of the live performance it is.
Turning down the screen brightness and moving to the back are two ways to minimise the distraction caused by phones and other recording devices.
Use of larger devices such as tablets and supporting structures such as tripods are not permitted for comfort and safety reasons.
